This isn’t incremental. Two weeks ago, getting this caliber of AI infrastructure required a vendor relationship, a contract negotiation, and usually a six-figure commitment. That barrier just dropped to a credit card and a browser tab.

Here’s what actually changed, what it means for your business, and the specific moves worth making in the next 30 days.

What this means practically: The pace of capability release has accelerated to a point where waiting to evaluate your options is itself a strategic decision. The businesses that committed to a workflow in January and deployed it in February are already running production agents. The businesses still in “we’re evaluating options” mode are now two product cycles behind.

This is the moment I’ve been telling clients to wait for. Not because earlier tools weren’t good, but because deployment-ready, department-level agents without vendor gatekeeping represents a different category of access than what existed before.

This isn’t a phased exploration. Thirty days is enough time to have a production AI agent running in one department. Here’s the sequence that works.

Week 1: Activate and Audit (Days 1-7)

  2. HR — job description drafting. Every hiring cycle starts with a job posting. If you’re writing these from scratch each time, a trained HR agent cuts drafting time from 90 minutes to 10. The agent produces a posting in your voice and format; a human reviews and publishes. That’s a workflow that pays for itself inside the first open role.

Lower priority for most SMBs:
